Article 876.2
Lorsqu’une demande relative à la nomination d’un tuteur, d’un tuteur ad hoc ou aux biens ou à son remplacement est présentée à un notaire, celui-ci doit la signifier au mineur s’il est âgé de 14 ans et plus ainsi que la notifier aux personnes mentionnées au premier alinéa de l’article 226 du Code civil, et convoquer ces dernières à une assemblée de parents, d’alliés ou d’amis en vue de conférer une tutelle au mineur et de constituer le conseil de tutelle. Il doit aussi notifier la demande au curateur public s’il s’agit de remplacer le tuteur, le tuteur ad hoc ou le tuteur aux biens.

Article 876.2
Where an application relating to the appointment or replacement of a tutor, a tutor ad hoc or a tutor to property is presented to a notary, the notary must serve the application on the minor, if the minor is 14 years of age or over, and notify the application to the persons mentioned in the first paragraph of article 226 of the Civil Code and call the latter persons to a meeting of relatives, persons connected by marriage or friends to establish tutorship to the minor and form the tutorship council. If the tutor, the tutor ad hoc or the tutor to property is being replaced, the notary must also notify the application to the Public Curator.
