Article 140
La signification d’un acte par la poste se fait par l’envoi de la copie à son destinataire, à la dernière adresse connue de sa résidence ou de son lieu de travail, par courrier recommandé ou certifié.
Cette signification est réputée avoir été faite à la date où a été signé, par le destinataire ou par l’une des personnes mentionnées à l’article 123, l’avis de réception présenté par le postier au moment de la livraison.

Article 140
Service by mail is made by mailing a copy of the proceeding by registered or certified mail to the party at the last known address of his residence or place of work.
Such service is deemed to have been made on the date when the acknowledgment of receipt presented by the postman at the time of delivery was signed by the party himself or by one of the persons mentioned in article 123.
