Article 863.4
Les demandes relatives au conseil de tutelle, à la nomination ou au remplacement d’un tuteur au mineur, à l’ouverture ou à la révision d’un régime de protection, au mandat en prévision de l’inaptitude, à la vérification des testaments et aux lettres de vérification, peuvent aussi être présentées à un notaire suivant les règles particulières du présent Livre.
Il en est de même pour les demandes relatives à la nomination ou au remplacement d’un conseiller, d’un tuteur ou d’un curateur à un majeur.

Article 863.4
An application relating to a tutorship council, to the appointment or replacement of a tutor to a minor, to the institution or review of protective supervision, to a mandate given in anticipation of the mandator’s incapacity, to the probate of a will or to letters of verification may also be presented to a notary in accordance with the special rules contained in this Book.
The same applies to an application relating to the appointment or replacement of an adviser, a tutor or a curator to represent a person of full age.
