Article 422.5
Le propriétaire du véhicule routier saisi peut être remis en possession du véhicule, sur autorisation d’un juge de la Cour du Québec exerçant en son bureau en matière civile dans l’un des cas suivants:
1° il ne pouvait raisonnablement prévoir que le conducteur conduirait le véhicule pour une course avec un autre véhicule, un pari ou un enjeu ou il n’avait pas consenti à ce que le conducteur soit en possession du véhicule;
2° étant le conducteur, il ne conduisait pas le véhicule pour une course avec un autre véhicule, un pari ou un enjeu.
La Société lève la suspension du permis ou du droit d’en obtenir un imposée en vertu de l’article 422.1 si la personne concernée obtient la mainlevée de la saisie en vertu du premier alinéa.
Le deuxième alinéa de l’article 209.11 et les articles 209.11.1, 209.12, 209.13 et 209.15 s’appliquent avec les adaptations nécessaires.

Section 422.5
The owner of the road vehicle seized may, on the authorization of a judge of the Court of Québec acting in chambers in civil matters, recover his vehicle
1° if he could not reasonably have foreseen that the driver would drive the vehicle in a race with another vehicle or for a wager or a stake, or had not consented to the driver being in possession of the vehicle; or
2° if he was the driver and was not driving the vehicle in a race with another vehicle or for a wager or a stake.
If the person obtains the release of the seizure under the first paragraph, the Société lifts the suspension of the licence or of the right to obtain a licence imposed under section 422.1.
The second paragraph of section 209.11 and sections 209.11.1, 209.12, 209.13 and 209.15 apply, with the necessary modifications.
