Article 492
Toute municipalité locale peut faire, modifier ou abroger des règlements pour autoriser ses officiers à visiter et à examiner, entre 7 et 19 heures, toute propriété mobilière et immobilière, ainsi que l’intérieur et l’extérieur de toute maison, bâtiment ou édifice quelconque, pour constater si les règlements y sont exécutés, pour vérifier tout renseignement ou pour constater tout fait nécessaire à l’exercice par la municipalité du pouvoir de délivrer un permis, d’émettre un avis de conformité d’une demande, de donner une autorisation ou toute autre forme de permission, qui lui est conféré par une loi ou un règlement et pour obliger les propriétaires, locataires ou occupants de ces maisons, bâtiments et édifices, à recevoir ses officiers et à répondre à toutes les questions qui leur sont posées relativement à l’exécution des règlements.

Section 492
Every local municipality may make, amend or repeal by-laws to authorize its officers, between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., to visit and examine all movable and immovable property, as well as the interior or exterior of any house, building or edifice whatsoever, to ascertain if the by-laws are carried out, to verify any information or determine any fact necessary to the exercise by the municipality of the power to issue a permit or a notice of compliance of an application and to grant an authorization or any other form of permission, conferred on the municipality by an Act or regulation, and to compel the owners, tenants or occupants of such properties, buildings or edifices to receive its officers, and to answer all questions put to them relative to the carrying out of the by-laws.

411.Le conseil peut faire des règlements:1° pour autoriser les fonctionnaires ou employés de la municipalité à visiter et à examiner, à toute heure raisonnable, toute propriété immobilière ou mobilière, ainsi que l’intérieur ou l’extérieur des maisons, bâtiments ou édifices quelconques, pour constater si les règlements du conseil y sont exécutés, pour vérifier tout renseignement ou pour constater tout fait nécessaire à l’exercice par la municipalité du pouvoir de délivrer un permis, d’émettre un avis de conformité d’une demande, de donner une autorisation ou toute autre forme de permission, qui lui est conféré par une loi ou un règlement et pour obliger les propriétaires ou occupants de ces propriétés, bâtiments et édifices, à y laisser pénétrer les fonctionnaires ou employés de la municipalité; 2° (paragraphe abrogé); 3° pour autoriser, lors d’une inspection, la saisie de tout article offert en vente, vendu ou livré en contravention avec les règlements faits en vertu de la présente loi ou de la charte. Sur demande, les fonctionnaires ou employés qui procèdent à une inspection doivent établir leur identité et exhiber le certificat, délivré par la municipalité, attestant leur qualité. 441.(Abrogé). 452.(Abrogé).
