Le gouvernement peut, par règlement, déterminer des normes applicables à la possession de cannabis dans un lieu public par une personne âgée de 21 ans ou plus, notamment en prévoyant une quantité moindre que celle pouvant y être possédée en vertu de la Loi sur le cannabis (L.C. 2018, c. 16).
Il peut aussi déterminer, parmi les dispositions d’un tel règlement, celles dont la violation constitue une infraction et indiquer, pour chaque infraction, les amendes dont est passible le contrevenant, lesquelles ne peuvent excéder 750 $ et, en cas de récidive, 1 500 $.

Section 6
The Government may, by regulation, determine the standards applicable to possession of cannabis in a public place by a person 21 years of age or over, in particular by prescribing a lesser amount than the amount that may be possessed under the Cannabis Act (S.C. 2018, c. 16).
It may also determine the provisions of such a regulation whose violation constitutes an offence and prescribe, for each offence, the fines to which an offender is liable, which may not exceed $750 or, for a subsequent offence, $1,500.
